The ones I just mentioned are the "Big 3" as I like to call them because they're all the most commonly referred to movements relating to civil rights and the demand for the restoration of them by the affected groups.

These three movements, the gay rights one being the most recent, have fought and continue to fight for equal treatment not only under the law but socially too. The black citizens (male and female alike) demanded to be served equally in restaurants, sit in the seats they wanted to on buses, not be bullied away from voting, have equal access to public services such as education and hospitals and pretty much everything else. They were seen as inferior and stupid and so on and so forth while adult white (men) were seen as far superior in everyway and so because of that they restricted the education, movement, and rights of the black people in order to "keep them in their place." And as such the result was less educated black people due to the failure of their terribly underfunded school system that didn't teach them anything useful and the few that did manage to learn anything, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, learned it fast and learned it early (he entered college at 15). So while not all black people suffered a useless, yet still mandatory, education system most did so because of the adult white male's stereotypical racist views of the black people being stupid, poor etc he physically forced them to become that way, he made them learn less and therefore made them earn less continuing the cycle of poverty and as a consequence crime (due to poverty) from his own stereotypical views! However, a few, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, slipped through the cracks and achieved great things even while being threatened with his life if he dare stand up and fight back for the rights of all black men and women and unfortunately he was murdered but that did not stop his movement, his quest, his desire nor his war against oppression, if anything it strengthened it, he was martyred but his death forced off the chains of his people's oppression and finally they were free! Jim Crow laws were abolished and equality, or something close to it, became widely accepted and now, while racism still exists it is not near as bad as it was before. This is a movement to truly have awe for because they have suffered so much at the hands of white adults.

Now I shall speak of the women's feminist movement which came during and right after the black civil rights movement, the climax coming when abortion was legalized. Women have long since been oppressed by males of any color. Their movements restricted. Their votes denied. Their automony outlawed. Women could not even open bank accounts without their husbands approval up until the 50s and even then the checks had the husband's name on it. When a woman was married she was known as Mr. John Doe her identity was completely dependent on the consent of her husband, her last name lost forever, she was no longer the master of her own body and since abortion was illegal for the longest time her husband could rape her repeatedly to get her pregnant and then threaten harm to the growing fetus inside her and/or after it was born, especially if she didn't want to abort it. She was a prisoner in her own body and there was nothing she could do about it. Women were routinely committed into mental institutions if their husbands got angry at them or if they fought back. Women having the desire to have sex were actually diagnosed as having "hysteria" because while women were supposed to submit to sex whenever their husbands wanted it, regardless of whether or not she did, she wasn't supposed to have any desires to have sex, ever. Women fought long and hard and finally got the vote in 1919. Then in the 70s the women's rights movement exploded. Women were seen as separate from their husbands and they were free. They were recognized as full citizens.

The most recent civil rights movement is, of course, the gay rights movement. Homosexuality has long since seen as taboo (well since Judaism came along really, before that no one cared) and it was even seen as a disease. Homosexuals have been beaten, abused and murdered because they simply didn't like people of the opposite sex. All they wanted to be treated equally without fear of abuse (which of course involved getting married). Nowadays some can even get married! At least in the US. While gay soldiers still face being fired from the military simply because they like people of the same sex. So their fight still rages on and so does the fight for blacks and women.

(UPDATED 9/2/10)

So I never really got around to saying who the most discriminated against person in the world was. Well based upon what I have mentioned before. The three big civil rights movement - black, women and homosexual - are most certainly discriminated against but what happens when you have a black female homosexual? They have not 1, not 2, but 3 strikes against them. They have given their haters 3 reasons to hate them. But what about if this black female homosexual was 15 years old instead of 18 or 25 or 37 or 42? What if this 15 year old black female homosexual had HIV and was uneducated and below the poverty line? What if this poor soul had been raped in her childhood by her father and had to have an abortion? But wait, since she was under 18 and lived in a southern Christian state that required parental consent for her to have an abortion but her father had raped her and her mother was in jail? How about if her family was Muslim or atheist? Which would be worse? What if they were Muslim and SHE was an atheist? What if she wasn't 100% black but her mother was from Syria or North Korea? What if she wanted to run away from her abusive family? Since she's under 18 she is not allowed to do anything without parental permission. She runs away but hired thugs hunt her down and kidnap her to take her back to her family. Or perhaps they want to send her off to a "behavior modification camp" where she will be beaten and further sexually abused if she does not lay on the floor for 8 hours a day or go on hikes for 12 hours without rest or food or water. What if she has anemia and must eat and she passes out? What if she has a physical deformity or must sit in a wheelchair? Will she have any recourse? She's under 18 so she cannot sue, she's not yet 16 so she cannot emancipate (a big word for being "free from bondage/imprisonment/slavery"). What can she do but die?

That is the most discriminated against person in the world.

Kids should never be tried as adults but not because they're immature

There's been some debate raging about whether it's right to charge a "minor" as an "adult." There are essentially 2 main arguments both for and against this.

The for side generally has the saying, nay, the motto of "adult crime adult time" which is to say that things like rape and murder are only "adult" crimes which so-called minors (should) never do. However, this is a fallacy and a big one. If one merely takes a peek back in human history, during our more primitive eras one might say, there is strong evidence that these "children" raped and murdered in the thousands if not millions over the centuries. Children are just as capable if not more so capable of killing and raping other people especially adults! So why is it such a surprise when children kill or rape other people? Because society simply not only views, but demands by law, they be innocent and pure and we all know that's a load of horse manure. Children are not pure and they are fleetingly innocent (everyone reading this went through or is going through puberty, right? You know what I'm talking about, once you hit puberty your innocence is gone for good). Since children are fundamentally not pure and very fleetingly innocent what then are they that accounts for their... childlike... behavior? Naivety, of course. Children are kept in ignorance about the real world, they're told nothing about the legal system and their access to it almost impossible, unless of course, they're charged with a crime.

The against side's argument is simple as it is idiotic though I can't blame them for thinking this: minors are incompetent, minors are stupid, minors are immature and therefore they're less "responsible" or "culpable" for their crime. Now THAT is getting a "break" because you're young. I'm not necessarily against getting breaks but not because you're being seen as stupider than a doorknob. The whole idea around this is that they be given the "opportunit[y] to become productive adults. " Which of course means they're not being productive now (because they're incomepetent and are accused of a crime). This IS the brain argument at its height (that people under 25 have undeveloped brains and are incapable of making very rational choices) which is quite frankly a load of bollocks. Why is this a load of bollocks? Let me teach some biology really fast (note: I'm no brain surgeon or doctor): Once you reach 25 your brain does NOT finish developing and become a "complete" brain but instead it goes in reverse -- it means you get stupider. Ever heard of menopause in women? That's reverse puberty. You essentially turn into an oversized baby the older [and wiser?] you get.

But what about really young kids? Like the 9 year old charged as an adult? He killed two people didn't he? I don't know. Perhaps he did. Only he knows for sure. So is his brain underdeveloped? Is he less responsible for his actions? Should he have been charged as an adult? His brain is still developing, that is true as are his emotions, but it's not "underdeveloped" and he's not "less" responsible for his actions but he shouldn't be charged as adult. Why? Because he isn't one! He has no rights as an adult and being charged as one only grants him to ability to be given bail (apparently), he can't vote, he can't smoke, he can't sign contracts, he can't buy a house, he can't buy a car, he can't consent or refuse medical treatment and so on an so forth he can't do anything! Am I saying he should granted the right to smoke or buy a house etc?! Well, he doesn't have the credit to buy a house no lender would dare touch him and should he be allowed to smoke? Smoking kills. You smoke you have the high chance of dying from it but hey so does sugar (hello diabetes) but there's no age limit on that.

It's common sense here. Charge him as an adult give him the rights of an adult. He can go to the juvenile system until he's an adult (which for these purpose seems to be 21! WTF?) then transfer him to the adult system but don't label someone with no rights and only responsibilities and say they were responsible when they did it but deny them the rights of someone who actually is an adult! It's unfair, it's unjust and it's cruel.

We Need More Voters! With that there's talk of which age one should be allowed to smoke or be in possession of a said drug without risk of being hauled off to jail, being charged as a minor, possibly being raped in prison or otherwise assaulted, being introduced to much harder drugs due to the fact that prison are the very highest form of an insecure facility, being raped and assaulted by prison guards, losing the right to vote and so and so forth. That being said jail/prison is an extremely bad place to be. It does not rehabilitate anyone and if it ever has that wasn't due to prison that was due to that individual person.

So the question is, which age should someone be allowed to willingly partake in a plant that grows naturally and has been growing naturally since time immemorial? According to popular opinion marijuana makes you lazy and we can't have lazy kids! They'll become even more spoiled than they are now! We can't have that! Drugs are bad! Kids are bad! We can't have them mixing, no no no *shakes finger*

I humbly disagree

Kids (aka "minors" (it's a dirty word around these parts, ya hear?!) are given drugs today, all sorts of drugs not the least commonly prescribed of which being Ritalin. That's right folks, the "sit down, shut up" drug,

RITALIN ©
Making your kids subservient to you since the 1960s ©
(oh the irony).

You see the goal of diagnosing someone with ADHD is to drug them up so you don't have to deal with them, why do I know this? Because these are the symptoms associated with ADHD (according to wikipedia).

Predominantly inattentive type symptoms may include:

Be easily distracted, miss details, forget things, and frequently switch from one activity to another (Shit, I have 5 pages of homework to do and 4 tests... goddamnit, I don't have enough time to finish all this shit!! Which is it? Sit still or run around the place... fuck... I'm so confused!! Time to think about something that isn't so mentally retarded)

Have difficulty processing information as quickly and accurately as others (I learn at MY own pace, fuck off)

Struggle to follow instructions. (Maybe I'd follow them IF YOU EXPLAINED THEM MORE CLEARLY, ASSHOLE)

Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive type symptoms may include:

Fidget and squirm in their seats (sitting down for 5 hours is killer on the joints)

Talk nonstop (I'm tired of hearing YOU talk so much, now it's MY turn, bitch)

Dash around, touching or playing with anything and everything in sight (I'VE BEEN SITTING IN THE FUCKING SEAT ALL DAY, I'M BORED AS FUCK)

Have trouble sitting still during dinner, school, and story time (I'VE BEEN SITTING A FUCKING CHAIR ALL DAY, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT, MORE SITTING? FUCK NO!)

Be constantly in motion (I'm like a shark if I don't move I die... of boredom)

Have difficulty doing quiet tasks or activities. (Well... exCUSE me if moving things around cause noise and disrupt YOUR day, YOU aren't forced to sit a fucking chair without moving ALL DAY LONG, ARE YOU?)

and also these manifestations primarily of impulsivity

Be very impatient (Being forced to sit in a hard, cold chair all day will do that to you... NOW LET ME OUT OF THIS FUCKING CHAIR ALREADY)

Blurt out inappropriate comments, show their emotions without restraint, and act without regard for consequences (Yeah like "fuck you teacher, I'm not sitting down anymore! My joints are killing me!? What about exercise is good for you do you NOT understand?! No one everyone is so fat nowadays, STOP STIFLING MY EMOTIONS!!! I'm fed up with your bullshit teacher, let me fucking out of this fucking prison already!!!)

Have difficulty waiting for things they want or waiting their turns in games (I WANT TO GO HOME NOW, WHAT ABOUT NOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND YOU FUCKWITS?!?)

You see this? All these symptoms are NORMAL CHILDREN BEHAVIORS!
Children are being forcibly medicated (remember they can't refuse or consent to medical treatment!)

This is the type of drug children should NOT be on under ANY circumstances for these behaviors. Side note, did you know there's a fucking "disorder" called

Which symptoms are THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT:

A pattern of negativistic, hostile, and defiant behavior lasting at least 6 months, during which four (or more) of the following are present:
Note: Consider a criterion met only if the behavior occurs more frequently than is typically observed in individuals of comparable age and developmental level.

often loses temper (dealing with assholes all day is an unfortunate side effect)

often argues with adults (OMFG, DIFFERING OPINIONS!??1 HOLY SHIT!!)

often actively defies or refuses to comply with adults' requests or rules (Unreasonable rules are intolerable)

often deliberately annoys people (you fucking annoy me, asshole)

often blames others for his or her mistakes or misbehavior (that's right bitch it's YOUR FAULT! No really... it is, you caused this, asshole)

is often touchy or easily annoyed by others (YEAH, YOU)

is often angry and resentful (Wouldn't you be angry for being treated like an incompetent monkey all the time?!)

is often spiteful or vindictive (I WANT TO CONTROL MY FUCKING LIFE ASSHOLE)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No wonder kids want to smoke pot! No wonder ANYONE wants to smoke when they're treated worse than dirt just because they're under 21!

Yep, I said 21 not 18. Why? Because the argument is that no one under 21 is competent enough to handle marijuana (hurr durr when they can handle RITALIN? What the fuck shit?!)

Why is this? Well since alcohol can kill those under 21 marijuana can too right? WRONG. Marijuana has not killed a single person, or caused cancer etc. Nothing of the sort. So why 21? Because 18-20 year olds are not adults and HELL NO under-18s are sure as HELL not going to be able to smoke the sacred grass because it makes them lazy!! Well that's what you wanted you fuckshits, those erroneously diagnosed with ADHD were too active and now that there's a drug they actually WANT to take you deny them it?! What the motherfucking hell?!
---------

Yeah, so we should let them. Why should we let them smoke? Here's why (besides the fact they're all already drugged up with ritalin and the like which causes some nasty side effects, marijuana only causes sleepiness and munchies.... not near as bad as ritalin's)

HARMLESS -- they can't overdose on it no matter how hard you abusive parents shove it down their throats (that's right you crazies, you can't kill them with ritalin anymore!! HA AHA HA)

Side effects - sleepiness and munchies

They don't have to smoke it retards, they can eat it in food or drink it in tea if you're so damn concerned about "lung cancer" (no one has ever gotten cancer from smoking marijuana either, HAHAHA)

They already do it rather you like it or not but are getting imprisoned, introduced to drugs and people that will ACTUALLY eventually lead to their death and losing financial aid for school so WHAD'YA KNOW they're forced BY LAW to go back on the streets BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO GO TO COLLEGE BECAUSE OF A DRUG CONVICTION AND BETTER THEMSELVES SO THEY'RE STUCK OUT ON THE STREETS. GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT LAWMAKING ASSHOLES.

It was Consensual Officer! Why are you charging me with rape?

Two consenting people have sex, does society have a problem with that? One would generally want to say 'No' but alas if you're under 18 or s/he's over 18 you can't consent to sex or sexual things, because you're incompetent. And even in the states where you can consent at a younger age (16+) you still can't take pictures of it, because then you'd be in possession of child pornography. Yes, you, YOURSELF, are bound by pain of being registered as a SEX OFFENDER to not take any too provocative pictures of yourself (you don't even have to be naked) and if the cop's penis twitches, say goodbye life as you know it.

Doesn't this world suck? Isn't this world unfair? Aren't people truly evil? They are and these things need to change NOW. No, not now, several thousand years ago they needed to change, oh wait, just kidding because people under 18-16 WERE ALLOWED TO HAVE SEX WITH ONE ANOTHER YOU FUCKING FAGGOT AUTHORITY FIGURES.

I want to hit them, hard, I want to smack some sense into them because they're are so fucking stupid. THEY WANT TO PREVENT THOSE YOUNGER THAN THEM FROM DOING ANYTHING OR HAVING ANY FUN AT ALL BECAUSE THEY'RE NO LONGER YOUNG.

I hate them, I want them to stop, THEY'RE EVIL.

I am raging so hard right now it's not funny anymore. I want to do something to help these victims, we're ALL victims, anyone who has ever been treated poorly because of their age. This is such madness, I swear, the world has gone batshit insane, I can't take this anymore. It's wrong, it's unjust, it's unfair, it hurts, it kills, it maims, it even rapes (go to jail, get raped, ????, kill yourself... I would anyways).

Why are you so evil? What have we done to piss you off so much, great authority figure? Are you so jealous of us you must seek to punish us at every turn?

I hate you.

You need to stop.

NOW

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://liberalincarnate.blogspot.com/2009/10/it-was-consensual-officer-why-are-you.html' title='It was Consensual Officer! (prepare to be mindfucked)

Truth be told, if you're under 18 you're legally considered to be an adult.

True story look up just about any news story about someone under 18 being charged "as an adult." "As an adult" is a a simile (like or as) According to http://www.dictionary.com/ this is what a simile is:

"A common figure of speech that explicitly compares two things usually considered different"

An adult is considered different from a child (or legally, a minor) and that cannot be debated, at least on a legal standpoint... well almost... on some levels.

Since the "minor" is being charged "as an adult" this LEGALLY means they are an adult. (As also meaning they ARE, "as you were" = "do what you are doing"). So if I were under 18 and was accused of certain crimes (any involving bodily injury or attempted bodily injury). I knew what I was doing because I am an adult!! (Minors, legally don't know they're doing, but are still held responsible and are still sent to jail and what not... boy, the contradictions keep mounting on top of one another).

Adults are ALL considered responsible (introduce me to one, PLEASE) and therefore they're RESPONSIBLE for their actions and as some retarded hicks love to say "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime" (**Throws rocks at them to shut them up and make them realize how much of an asshole they are***). Minors are considered to be partially responsible for their actions but their actions are so heavily regulated that they're asking to get caught. The pressure is simply too high for most if not all to break, if only in the US.

Long story short: You're under 18? You're a minor. You're under 18 and commit a crime? WELCOME TO THE RESPONSIBLE WORLD OF ADULTHOOD... 20 TO LIFE!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://liberalincarnate.blogspot.com/2009/10/justice-system-says-im-adult-so-where.html' title='The Justice System Says I'm an Adult, So Where are My Rights? Underage drinking may lead to your death.

What's wrong? Have I changed? Have I fallen... When I speak of "underage drinking" I speak of this.... let's replace it what I really meant... the effect of getting caught... underage drinking....

Getting arrested is dangerous to your health and your safety. Getting arrested can ruin your life, your grades can be so inhibited by your getting arrested that you are forced to drop out of school, you may be fired for getting arrested and you may be killed due to the effects of getting arrested being in places you never wanted to be... because of getting arrested... You can be forced from your home for not being able to pay bills for getting arrested. You can be put into some of the most traumatic situations due to getting arrested, you can be raped getting arrested. Getting arrested may lead to your death.

It's true many people die in jail, are raped, or are lead into a very very terrible life, far more terrible than they could have EVER imagined with merely drinking, and being under 21. They may be adults but the so-called "justice" system sees fit to treat them like children yet punish them like adults. It's a triple paradox:

ADULT (18-20) right = MINOR (child) charges = ADULT punishment

It's cruel and it's unusual and quite frankly it's

EVIL

Youth aren't worth as much as you, even legal adults.

ACCORDING to the federal government, legal adults 20 years and under are not worth as much as someone 20+ for the first 90 days of employment, legally and rather offensively.

For SOME reason the age of adulthood, the age of REASON, is never really attained until you're like 50 or something with a couple thousand in the bank and 2 or 3 kids and a well paying job. Oh no I kid you not, this is the picture of "adulthood" that is slowly appearing in my mind as I read all the rules and regulations against people, just because the number attached to their name isn't enough... or is... as sometimes is the case... too much (think sex).

Returning to the point, the law says... and I quote:

"A minimum wage of not less than $4.25 may be paid to employees under the age of 20 for their first 90 days of employment with any employer as long as their work does not displace other workers. After 90 days of employment, or when the worker reaches age 20 (whichever comes first), the worker must receive at least the federal minimum wage."

There are two clauses in the first sentence (the only 2 clauses) that need to be noted. The first of which is obviously the clause that says someone under 20 is worth a measly $4.25/hr for the first 3 months even though the federal minimum wage demands that employees be paid.... THE FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE... and $4.25/hr is very much not the federal minimum wage. Before I inquire as to reasons for this... I won't... I won't inquire because we all know the reason for this... a blind person could see why this is way that this is...

TWO REASONS

1st reason:

Old people (20+ is the effective age of majority for THIS law) don't want to lose their jobs to ANYONE for ANY REASON (yes, even if they're stronger, better, faster... oh and smarter too) so they must do something to discourage their potential "displacement" (i.e. they get their old, miserable asses out the door and make way for new, younger, healthier, better looking young people). In short, they don't WANT under 20 year olds to work.... AT ALL. You can't do SHIT with $4.25/hr! SHIT!!! That's like 2 trips on a bus... to get to work and get home! It's criminal and thus is one more thing on my list to be fixed (which may or may not ever happen).

2nd reason:

"..with any employer as long as their work does not displace other workers"

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? No, it doesn't define it, it just says it. So long as their work does not displace other workers? So if it does does that mean they are to be paid full minimum wage? I don't know BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SAY. Does it mean they'll not be hired/fired... I don't know.... BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SAY.

Oh yeah, the real second reason.... people in charge are assholes.... ASSHOLES.

And you can quote me on that! ;)

(P.S. here's the link to the offensive law: here)

Candy Lightner thinks soldiers aren't adults.... that might explain the way my father acts....

For those of you who didn't know Candy Lightner, or as we shall call her from now on, Candy, was once a [very] MADD president (and the founder, actually). I happened upon two quotes of hers which scream HYPOCRITE (also, bitch but that's for another time).

The first quote seems extremely reasonable and in fact I wholeheartedly AGREE with it. It's very sound and not the least bit MADD (pun intended).

Here's the quote:

"If you want to drink, that's your business. But as soon as you drink and get behind the wheel of a car, it becomes my business."

Yeah, if you want to drink, go for it, but once you get in the car my chances of dying go up just a little bit more (even if I'm not in a car, because you could crash into my house... probably not but hey it's not impossible). And Mrs. Candy lost her 13 year old daughter to a repeat drunk driver. I've been able to find no information about how old he/she/it was but the chances that the driver
was well in excess of 21. I dunno why I just have this feeling because no where in any internet resources does it mention the age of the driver, I would like to find out but since the driver was over 21 they feel no need to mention his age because it has no bearing on her NEXT quote. (The one that makes her a hypocritch (or does hypobitch sound better to anyone?)).

Before someone gets MADD at me I know, her daughter was killed by a repeat drunk driver and that truly is a horrible thing and should never have happened and I feel really bad especially since her daughter didn't have any rights (but that's a story for another time). I just take offense to this quote and I'll just go ahead and quote her:

"It [the brain of 18-year-olds] isn’t developed, and that’s exactly why the draft age is 18, because these kids are malleable. They will follow the leader, they don’t think for themselves and they are the last ones I want to say ‘here’s a gun, and here’s a beer.’ They are not adults; that’s why they’re in the military. They are not adults."
Being the extremely logical person I am. Let's quickly deconstruct what she just said.

First quote, she said:

"If you want to drink, that's your business. But as soon as you drink and get behind the wheel of a car, it becomes my business."

"You" means the reader or the listener and the readers/listeners can and are any age, so anyone of any age can drink and that's their business is what she exactly said. Yep.

Moving to the next quote she said 18 year olds become soldiers because they malleable and follow orders, and soldiers are supposed to follow orders so.... soldiers aren't adults? Hmmm.... that would explain the behavior of my father but he wasn't 18 when he enlisted he was 21+ (I think he was like 23/24/25).

So in short, as the title says, Candy doesn't think soldiers are adults, so Candy is very unamerican.

;)

Religion - The Drug that Kills

There comes a time in everyone's life when they become tired of the things in life that make no sense or that are so commonly idiotic that remaining silent is an offense great enough to warrant name calling.

Now is the time to say something, regardless if I have said it before, online or off. I shall repeat myself and I this time I shall lay very clearly my views of religion and its evils.

----
The Invention of Religion:
A Summary

Long ago in a place far away there was a thought, an actual bonafide, thought. Humans began to use their minds to think and when they did everything was forever changed. Humans being the weak and simple beings that we are need to survive, and we desperately need to survive because dying is very undesirable thing. Many ways were thought of and attempted to prolong life, some worked and some failed miserably and some of which people weren't really sure if they worked but, hey, it was better than doing nothing and so they kept on doing those things. We can call this superstition.

Think about it like this, the sun rises = you're more or less safe, not a ton of dying because you can usually see the cheetah or lion, at least better than you can at night. The sun falls = oh shit, RUN! Your ass is cat meat, because humans cannot see very well at night and when we don't see the lions etc soon enough, death becomes us VERY quickly. Also when it falls it gets cold and when it gets cold, PEOPLE DIE!

As stated before, dying is undesireable, so we must prevent that. What prevents dying? (More than what seems to encourage it, in any case) in case you haven't caught on yet... THE SUN!!! Yes! The sun more or less, more often than not, is warm and helps us see so we, of course, want the sun to be 24/7!! We want it soooo bad we wish and beg someone to make it work!! But no one has the power, no matter who we ask they can't make it come true. So, in our hour of desperation we ask the invisible man in the sky or in the frogs, or in the trees to help us!! But it doesn't work!!! What do we do then? Since we know we can't make the sun stay up all day and all night we must MAKE SURE it rises every single morning, because if it does, death is certain!!

We wish and hope and beg and plead with anyone to make sure this happens because we know NOTHING about this glowing ball in the sky or the twinkling balls of tiny lights at night. It's all a gigantic mystery to us!!! It's so unknown that it has power over us! It determines our fate, or at least part of it, and that scares us to death!! We fear the power of the light and the power of the dark and we must make sure, we must rest our minds that this will not change so we begin to worship the day and perhaps even worship the night because of the power it holds.

We worship the glowing ball of light in the sky first and foremost because it is good! It protects us (most of the time) and is warm!! And we fear the night because bad things happen and night!! We make up rituals in the hopes it will keep the night at bay and to strengthen the sun. It works!! The sun rises every morning without fail!! We have pleased the sun!! We have pleased the life giving and protecting force!! We must tell our children so they know what to do!!

And there you have it, the formation of the very first religion.

On Why the 1984 National Minimum Drinking Age Act is Illegal.

Upon looking at the text of the bill any reasonable person (or lawyer) could instantly find a very big reason why the 1984 NMDA Act is illegal. It's actually in 23 U.S.C. 158 which quite blatantly states that:

"(a) Withholding of Funds for Noncompliance.
(1) In general. The Secretary shall withhold 10 per centum of the amount required to be apportioned to any State under each of sections 104(b)(1), 104(b)(3), and 104(b)(4) of this title on the first day of each fiscal year after the second fiscal year beginning after September 30, 1985, in which the purchase or public possession in such State of any alcoholic beverage by a person who is less than twenty-one years of age is lawful."

You see, Section A is a problem, a BIG problem. Why you ask? Because the VERY act of "witholding funds for noncompliance" essentially bypasses one law and breaks another.

Let me explain...

The law it bypasses is the law of the Constitution, which, no where in it does it grant the federal government the right expressly or implicitly to set a national minimum drinking age. Trust me, look, there is not one law in there that allows for this type of behavior by the government. Since it does not have the authority (which it knows and therefore it bypasses the Constitution) to regulate a national minimum drinking age the only thing it can do is force the states to comply by other means.

This is where it blatantly breaks a law. In order to best understand how it blatantly breaks a law we must look at the wording of the main (but not the only) section in question. That is section A. As stated before it "withhold[s] funds for noncompliance" and when someone "withholds" something (like money) because someone (or a State) did not do something they want them to do that they would not otherwise do unless being forced to do so, there a term for this, a legal term, and what would that term be? Extortion (or alternatively: coercion, blackmail).

Oh but how can this be? According to the Encyclopedia Britannica the definition of extortion is this:

"Unlawful exaction of money or property through intimidation or undue exercise of authority. It may include threats of physical harm, criminal prosecution, or public exposure. Some forms of threat, especially those made in writing, are occasionally singled out for separate statutory treatment as blackmail."

As stated above the federal government DOES NOT have the authority to demand states set a drinking age nor does it have the power to set one itself so it places this little monetary "incentive" (albeit a negative and HIGHLY illegal one!) to get states to comply with it's "undue exercise of authority" (which, once again, it does not have the authority to set the age or even make the states set an age so this more than falls under the "undue exercise of authority").

So my question is how the hell did this even get passed in the first place? One answer: Lobbying by some VERY angry bitches. True story. Look up MADD. I've mentioned them before. They are quite angry bitches. And you can quote me on that. ;)
National Youth Rights Association Annual Meeting

In less than 2 weeks I will be in Washington DC to support youth rights in the US and I have to say I am very much looking forward to it as I have never been to the capital before.

This is the first chance I'll have to really speak to an audience about my views, namely, the drinking age in which I will happily do a presentation on it on Sunday, August 2nd.

The NYRA Annual Meeting is a chance for members of the NYRA to get together and networking and discuss things that we desire to change in the world and I just hope that once we adjourn we will have accomplished something and that's what the NYRA is here for, isn't it?<div wondering I have now attained 21 years and may now drink without fear of a criminal record due to my age.

It is somewhat of a relief to know that I need not cower in my locked bedroom or hide everytime I hear a police car drive by while quickly gulping up all the evidence of my less than legal possession and consumption.

I am no longer considered a minor under federal law and am thereby emancipated from the federal government's attempts to regulate what I put into my body for my age group.

Prior to this I was a minor and an adult at the same time. It makes no sense either legally or logically and it is rape of the equal protection clause in the Constitution of the United States of America.

And to think the reason the government (or should I say MADD?) has this law is to PROTECT me from the "dangers of underage drinking" (their quote, not mine). This is commonly thrown around by just about everyone when speaking of drinking and so-called "underage persons" who have not yet attained 21 years of age, even though, as stated above are legal adults and may stick penises or various other things into their bodies, including having things (needles) stuck into their bodies causing death due to them causing the death (or being a party to the death but not directly causing it) of another person just so long as they have attained 18 years of age.

So MADD seems to think we're responsible enough to DIE at 18 but not drink until 21? What kind of bullshit is that?

I personally have been both legally and illegally drinking (thank you Texas law for taking away my rights and giving them right back to my mom when I was under 21, bastard) since I was 18 and more or less regularly since I was 19. I had no desire to drink prior to that or do anything society wouldn't allow (except for the right to DECIDE what I want to do, I never ever gave that power the state or any other autoritative body, parents included) . But no, me being responsible to "wait" until I was an ADULT to drink is not good for the mother-fucking organization, according to them and the federal and state government I'm a CRIMINAL.

HA! Arrest me! I dare you!

That's right no one would do such a terrible retarded thing to a legal adult! Which, I was as of 3 years ago, I might add.

What harm have I caused by being under 21 and not in the presense of my parent? Nothing, no one has been hurt by my actions ever from drinking. That's because I'm not retarded like some, the minority, of those under 21 people are.

The point being of course is to lower the drinking age to the MINIMUM of 18, no more! Plenty less is fine too.

To simply persecute a group of people for being born in the wrong year IS discrimination and there is NOTHING in the Constitution that allows for this, trust me, I looked it up.

Prove me wrong, I dare you.

Modern Day (Legal) Slavery: On owning another person.

One would think that slavery has been more or less eradicated in the "free world" as the West is so often called. After all we did finally abolish slavery at the end of the Civil War way back in the late 1800s. Didn't we? Those of the dark skinned persuasion have, indeed, received their freedom but only once they reached 18 years of age, that is. Also, this applies to everyone of any race, religion, sex, wealth or lackthereof, in just about every single country on the planet.

Have children? Have custody of your children? That's right you own them. You own another human being until he or she is 18 years of age, and for some situations (and states) that ownership does not expire until they're 21.

How does that make you feel to know you own another human being?

Oh, what's that, you don't believe you actually do? Well let's pop out ye olde dictionary.com (for quick reference) and let's look up a few words (I also checked out Black's Law Dictionary I think it's titled and yes, they happened to say the same thing in there as the internet does, so yes, I am right).

mi⋅nor
child, adolescent.

Antonyms:
1. major.

The important ones to read are in bold. As you can tell someone who is a minor (who is under 21) is inferior, secondary, subordinate. They are not free, that are in the custody of their parents or the State and even the federal government. (People under 21 are considered minors under federal law, even though they are adults at 18, it's one big piece of hypocrisy and contradiction, I might add).

Getting back to the main point of minors being property of their parents let's look at the rights of minors vs. parents (and the State).

Adult's Rights (21+)
1. Can drink and gamble.
2. Can get a credit card w/o parental permission or a proof of financial responsibility (effective at the end of this year).
3. No longer considered a minor under federal law.
4. Can buy a bigger assortment of firearms.
5. The rest are the same as 18-20.

Adult's/Minor's Rights (18-20) (They're both at the same time)
1. Can have sex with who they please except those below the age of consent (as low as 16 in some states).
2. Can own property.
3. Can sue and be sued.
4. Can be executed.
5. Can enlist in the army, handed guns and kill people.
6. Can smoke.
7. Can buy certain firearms but not all.
8. Can take driving test without ANY sort of driving course whatsoever.
9. Can marry w/o parental permission.
10. Are considered legally emancipated (i.e. free, look it up) from their parents with some exceptions.
11. Considered an adult for MOST but not all purposes.
12. Can consent or refuse medical treatment.
13. Can get abortions no problem whatsoever.

Minor's rights (under 18) (Pretending this minor is not an "emancipated minor" or foster child).
1. Right to an education (read: forced to get an education)
2. Right to obey his/her parents until 18. (if they don't they can be CHARGED as "incorrigible or ungovernable" (yes, these are CRIMES).
3. Cannot consent to medical treatment NOR refuse.
4. Until they're at least 16, at most 18, sex is illegal.

I could go on and on and basically the point is that if you're under 18 you HAVE NO RIGHTS. This is unfortunate but true.

When someone reaches 18 (or 16 and they have to go to court to do it) they are considered legally emancipated. And what does emancipated mean? Let's look it up in the dictionary once again.

e⋅man⋅ci⋅pate - verb.

1.

to free from restraint, influence, or the like.

2.

to free (a slave) from bondage.

3.

Roman and Civil Law. to terminate paternal control over

So there you have it to not be emancipated is to be a slave.

It's not that difficult a concept really, so why don't people admit what they know to be the truth?
People under 21 are in some way, shape or form property. And until that age barrier is breached they are trapped, there is no escape, this is indefinite in the US.

It is also wrong.

And it should change.

A Treatise on Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness and the Rights of Youth in America

An Voice that has yet to be suppressed is still a free voice.

"Man is born free, yet he is everywhere in chains. "
-Jean Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778) Swiss political philosopher and essayist

I sit here a free human being. I am a free woman, a free Caucasian, a free adult, a free European, a free college student, a free liberal, a free atheist, and a free and uninhibited generally healthy person. There are no laws to prohibit me from doing what I like so long as I do not harm others.

You see, laws were made with the purpose of protecting people from other people and occasionally, themselves. This a good thing we all assume. By no means do I disagree with the notion that humans need protection from other humans as humans are always out to get one another for a few reasons (but not limited to) that I shall list below:

1. Money
2. Power
3. Sexual Control
4. Inheritance/Property Control
5. Revenge
6. The aggressor has become mentally unstable and choose to randomly attack or threaten people with no actual reason or forcing to do whatever it may be by outside forces.
7. Boredom
8. Being forced to do something by others.
9. Being tricked to do something by others.
10. Believing what they're doing is right, or just or good.
11. Being forced to do something due to the economy or financial situation.
12. Being to physically ill (but not mentally) to know right from wrong.
13. Being too mentally incapable but not crazy to understand right from wrong. (Brain damage, etc).
14. Just because they felt like it.

And so on and so forth.

People do terrible things to one another, always have and always will. That I do not think can be effectively argued against and it is an absolute. Humans want things and they need things too. It is human nature to want, to desire and that is part of survival, that is part of the human experience, of being human.

The Chains of Humanity

Humans are inherently born free but they are also inherently born with chains attached to them. Invisible chains that are almost impossible to sever. The human is born at first with a chain to his/her parents then if the parents fail the child as determined by the State at which the parents reside the child is then chained to the State. The child is under the guidance and authority of the State for ALL of his or her needs. There is no defense or escape from their authority until the child reaches late adolescence. Then, if granted, a few links of the chains are weakened but not actually cut or perhaps one could say the chain in merely lengthened but the child, the human, is still not released from the control of the State. The State makes a terrible parent says many, even those on the inside can admit to this travesty of a situation, this rape of justice, this execution of freedom.

This country we reside in, the United States of America is not what it promises nor has it ever been. Every "freedom" we have has not been granted freely nor has it been granted to everyone. Some of us are trapped more than others in the prison that is humanity. The so-called "children" are the current and thus far eternal prisoners of this country. There is little hope for people to listen to them, much less care, if they are lucky enough.

This is disgusting and wrong and must change. There is no reason to be so cruel to humans and to discriminate against them merely based on AGE!

Yet another post about alcohol-- and age discrimination

So I was reading a little website just now about the drinking age as it stands now, at 21, presented on this website are "issues" and "responses" which seem to have been researched.

Now, I do not attempt to argue against or for these responses only to put my opinion about them forward, also, not using as much research as they do~

Here goes...

Should the Drinking Age Be Lowered from 21 to 18?

Yes

I answer "yes" because at 18 I am an adult, plain and simple. I have the rights and responsibilities of an adult finally granted to me. In that, the most shocking rights I am given are

Having sex (and making money off of it via porn)

Smoking cigarettes

Killing

Being executed for killing

Getting into debt

Also, I am finally once and for all considered an "adult" and I and only I (not my parents) am allowed to consent or refuse treatment for medical problems and so on much to the joy or dismay of my previously legally controlling parents.

I wouldn't call being executed a good thing, but still, I am able to be legally killed by the government if they find me guilty of unlawfully killing someone else. Now, with the me being able to kill part that implies that since I am able to join the military and handle death-inducing-weapons that I can kill. I have been given the power over life and death, legally.

I can have as much sex as I want with those also at the age of consent, which does vary state-to-state but is generally thought of being "absolute" at the age of 18. Absolute meaning I have no worries whatsoever if I have sex with someone who is 18 years old and I am 18 years old, or older. At least, so long as it's not rape...then we have problems...but you understand what I mean.

I can kill myself. I'm not talking about suicide, well... in a way I am... but instead I'm talking about doing an activity that can and has lead to death...many deaths. That would be caused by smoking cigarrettes.

Oh my!

But I am unable to drink alcohol?

Wow, life's a bitch.

Why is the age 21 and not 18 anyways?

Traffic accidents and binge drinking.

No kidding. I think it's safe to say and/or assume that once you hit the magical age of 21 you'll not do these things anymore.

EDIT: Finally I have the motivation to continue this posting.

A Brief History of the Drinking Age (VERY BRIEF)

In 1984 MADD lobbied the crap out of the government to get the drinking age raised back, federally, to 21 from 18. It was lowered to 18 during the Vietnam war so soldiers (and non-soldiers) could drink legally as adulthood was lowered from 21 to 18 during that time as well. Yes, prior to 1969 those under 21 were not only NOT allowed to purchase alcohol but they weren't even legal adults! And even prior to that the age was much lower. I don't have the exact dates but the entire idea of adolescense is no more 150 years old!

The rise of child-labor laws actually firmly established "childhood" in a legal context. But then took it away again by forcing children (their wills are not cared for) to attend school until 14 or 16 depending on the state and some states now are wanting to raise the drop-out age to 18 effectively (and actually) eliminating the ability of our young people to drop out of our increasingly prison-like school systems in their own cry for freedom from incarceration for merely committing the offense of being young!

Within the past 150 years childhood and being one has been increasingly criminalized with the sexual consent age in Texas being raised from 12 (in the late 1880s and prior to that I assume there wasn't one) to the eventual 17 it is now. That's right even if it's consensual, even if both parties agree, whether or not you do is irrelevant, they are committing a crime if both parties are under 17 in Texas as it stands now. Medical consent laws are no different, in fact, also in Texas foster-children (those owned by the state... the ultimate form "in loco parentis") have more rights than those owned by their parents! If you're under 18 in Texas, unless you're emancipated and not a foster child you are forbidden from consenting to any medical treatment or refusing that very treatment. There have been some cases outside of Texas, at least I think, where a 17-year old man with leukemia no longer wanted to suffer through chemo and/or radiation therapy and sought to stop it. HE WAS PHYSICALLY FORCED BY THE JUDGE AND DOCTORS TO UNDERGO UNWANTED TREATMENT THAT WOULD BE ILLEGAL AND AN OUTRIGHT VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS TO GIVE TO SOMEONE OVER 18!

What's wrong with this country?

Why the fuck do we treat our citizens so poorly?

IT NEEDS TO CHANGE NOW!

Abstinence-Only "Education" or "How to pretend like you care about your kids, while not really caring at all."

Everyone has sex!
("Children" included)

Perhaps that should be clear enough for everyone to understand. If not you have severe problems and should get help immediately.

"What happens when people have sex mommy?" a bold child asks her mother.

How does she her mother reply? For those of you who believe in "ignore your hormones, don't have sex" style teaching I assume that this is what you would say. (I wish otherwise...so very very much.)

"My dear child, you do not need to worry your pretty little head about sex right now, you're far to0 young for it, just wait until marriage...and you'll see." she replies.

She doesn't want her daughter to have sex at all. She believes she has instilled upon her good [insert religion here] values. That her daughter will take to the grave. Surely she will listen to her mom and wait until marriage to have sex. Just like any other good daughter.

She would be wrong.

Very wrong.

Like most kids these days, they're having sex. LOTS OF SEX. Like, almost nympomaniac-type sex. Yes, it happens, more often than you think. Your children like sex. Everybody likes sex....everybody has sex.

And for the most part, everyone has babies too...when they have sex. LOTS OF BABIES.

IT'S BABY MAKING TIME.

Sex is awesome. Sex is also natural. Very natural. If your parents didn't have sex...you wouldn't be here. YES, YOUR PARENTS HAD SEX IN ORDER TO MAKE YOU. Think about that!

Am I yelling loud enough? I hope so.

I hope the people back in the Stone Ages can hear me.

HOW DO WE PREVENT THIS BABY MAKING TIME WHILE STILL HAVING A GREAT TIME?

Do I have to answer? Really? I have to? Okay, here goes... this can answered with one word and one ONLY. I don't need to define it but it would be a good idea.

CONTRACEPTION

Was that clear? Concise? Precise? In any way difficult to understand? God, I really hope not. But let's define it:

Contraception
–noun the deliberate prevention of conception or impregnation by any of various drugs, techniques, or devices; birth control.

In short-- using something will likely -greatly- reduce the chance of baby-making to occur.

Contraception can involve just things like Birth Control items (be they pills, a shot, a ring etc) or just plain old CONDOMS. You know, the little plastic things you put on your partner's erect penis (if he's too lazy to do it himself).

It's not always 100% but it's better than nothing. (A.K.A. an uncovered/unwrapped PENIS plus not BC in sight! -- Hello new born baby, 9 months later!)

(btw, it's about 79%-99.9% effective depending upon the method used). (Conservative estimate...on the lower end...just for you guys)

Oh and Abstinence-only (IE. NOT HAVING SEX...HAHAHHAHA...yeah right) is not 100% effective.

Hello! Bible! Did you forget the "Virgin" Mary. I know I didn't. Immaculate Conception... XD uhm more like "Ejaculate Conception"...if you know what I mean....

/stops laughing sometime.

So that brings Abstinence-only's effectiveness to about 99.9%... can't help it if God did it!

No, really.

Are people that stupid?

.....oh, wait.....

So, for the people not raging. Let me sum it up for you. Just in case you didn't get it the first time.

Your children will have sex whether you like it or not. They will sneak behind your backs and be WILLFULLY "violated" multiple times and not necessarily by the same partner either o.O (oh snap).

Therefore, you can preach Abstinence all you want...but don't be surprised when your "precious little innocent angel" comes home with a very round stomach.

YOU DON'T ALWAYS GET PREGNANT, THOUGH...WHEN YOU HAVE SEX. (Without Contraception, of any kind... bareback as some might call it.)

That is true. But even if it's your first time... you can still get pregnant.

That is true meaning of sex... PROCREATION!

-If it wasn't so fun...tell me...would anyone "do it"?-

Also, if either one of you or both is/are sterile, no baby-making shall occur. However, STDs like HIV, AIDS and other such nasty diseases can and DO occur. Have fun with that if you find out your "monogamous" partner has cheated on you... and didn't bother to use a CONDOM. "Owned" is a good term to use at this point, should such a situation occur.

Do everyone a favor... and CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!

Give them Birth Control pills, condoms oh and TEACH THEM ABOUT SEX GODDAMNIT!

/rage

War is Death (But I'd call it Murder)

This blog seems to be taking a slightly different turn-not for the worst. It just cannot be about the things listed on the first post it is much more than that and that's why I'm making this post.

It is Universal and Unchanging - It cannot be denied, misconstrued, altered, fabricated or otherwise changed. War is Death. And everyone knows. Whether the victim is a dreaded "enemy" that horrible horrible person is human too. He or she is human just like you.

The only difference between you two is that the "enemy" is on the wrong side or was raised to believe in something destructive, something violent or perhaps that "enemy" was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Why do wars happen?

Because humans are selfish.

What caused the Sept. 11th attacks?

Honestly I don't think anyone can truly answer that save the people that did it. But it was most likely the fact that the Taliban got billions of dollars in aid and weapons from the US and wanted more. They got so much more.

How does war benefit anyone?

It benefits those with the supplies needed to continue the war and the people who would be employed to "work for the war." And the people who would get rich by pillaging the towns and getting all their money and precious artifacts and other needed resources.

Can we ever stop wars?

We cannot stop them from continuing. They will continue until humanity eventually wipes itself out because someone said something bad or blew up some people on a much smaller scale than total annihilation. We can try and stop those in progress... if those in power were the kind to be easily convinced otherwise.

What is the job of a soldier?

To kill.

Simply put that is what they are trained to do. They kill people. They, with the support, backing and orders from their superiors kill people.

Just remember that when you send your son or daughter off to war they may very return to you as murderers.

Isn't the war in Iraq and Afghanistan for our freedom?

That is bullshit. No really it is fucking bullshit. What freedoms are "we" fighting to protect? The Patriot Act summarily removed lots of our freedoms and by the way violates the Constitution. The "terrorists" didn't have to do a thing. Well, they did attack the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and tried for the White House (Bush wasn't home) but besides the senseless killings we've been pretty good so far. Except for the Patriot Act of course.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_act

Don't knock wikipedia. They're as good as any chum like me (or better).

Long story short:

Terrorists: 2,974 + (for 911 WTC)
USA: 94,562 for Iraq and counting, over 5000 in Afghanistan
(news reports of civilian deaths in Afghanistan are few and far in between)

I think you know who has more blood on their hands.

Another Debate About the Drinking Age -- Oh and Discrimination, too

So the Amethyst Initiative wants to lower the drinking age from the age of 21 back down to the age of 18 (which is much more reasonable and not as hypocritical) as it was during the conscripted war in Vietnam (if we can force you to kill people or be killed, the least we can do for you is give you a bottle of booze to help you NOT think about all that blood on your hands (or on ours)).

I, of course, totally and completely agree that is should be lowered, as I said before because 18 years olds are legally responsible to themselves, their country and their children (if they have any) so they should be allowed to drink, period.

dis·crim·i·na·tion
  –noun
1.an act or instance of discriminating.

2.treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.

Now, since those in the "underage" or even "age" (everyone has an age, you can't escape it...unless you lie) category also fall under this category, I do believe nothing more needs to be said. Discrimination is discrimination. And having this blanket law demanding that people not be allowed to put something into their own bodies is far beyond wrong.

Here is a lovely CNN news link that relates to this story. I also have an ireport account and have ireported, I won't tell you who I am just so that you know one of those pro-lowering-the-drinking-age stories is mine.

Birth Control =/= Abortion

I got this email from my mom and I thought I should post it. For those of you too lazy to read here is a summary: Bush wants birth control to be considered the same as abortions. Therefore doctors and insurance companies could make it even harder if not impossible for women to either get access to it or be given family planning...family planning! I assume by family planning they mean tell the soon-to-be-mother how to raise the kid and get access to pre and post natal care. (It appears to me that the staunch Christians want you to be on your own...yes even if you're married.) I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

Take Action. Save the Children! (This is meant to be sarcastic)

HHS Needs a News Flash: Birth Control is NOT Abortion

This summer, women's rights advocates discovered an impending administration attack on birth control. After hearing a multitude of protests, Secretary Mike Leavitt of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services blogs that it wasn't his intent.

Let's make sure it isn't. Take action NOW!

Action Needed:

Tell Mike Leavitt: "Birth control isn't abortion. Period. No matter how you try to explain it, this proposal will undermine women's access to birth control and other reproductive health care services -- so DROP this idea immediately."

Send an email to Secretary Leavitt!

Post a comment on Secretary Leavitt's blog!

In July, advocates learned of a draft administrative regulation which -- if implemented as written -- could:

1) Effectively redefine abortion to include commonly used contraceptive methods, and would discourage medical providers from offering those contraceptives. This expanded definition of abortion will discourage doctors and health care clinics from providing birth control products to women who need them, out of fear of losing critical federal funds.

2) Force family planning clinics to hire personnel who are anti-birth-control? No kidding! The drafted regulation would also have required agencies that receive family planning funding to certify that they will not discriminate in hiring people who object to abortion or who object to dispensing birth control on the basis of "religious beliefs or moral convictions."

3) Result in a dramatic influx of federal funding to fake clinics -- so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" that provide no family planning or abortion services, and often provide false and misleading information to women.

When all of this was pointed out to Leavitt, in letters from Congress, in comments posted on his blog, and in petitions circulated by Senators Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.), he backtracked -- but the draft regulations haven't yet been changed. And according to the Washington Post, Clinton and Murray aren't satisfied, writing to Leavitt: "We remain concerned by the regulations' potential to create barriers for women seeking health care, to jeopardize federal programs that provide family planning services and to disrupt state laws securing women's access to birth control."

TAKE ACTION NOW -- Send an email to Secretary Leavitt or post a comment on his blog urging him to drop the proposed regulation altogether.

Background:

The draft regulation, prepared by the Bush Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and currently circulating among anti-women officials, redefines abortion as, "any of the various procedures -- including the prescription, dispensing and administration of any drug or the performance of any procedure or any other action -- that results in the termination of the life of a human being in utero between conception and natural birth, whether before or after implantation." Taking a page from the extremist right, they are deliberately blurring the lines between contraception and abortion, providing an extraordinarily broad definition of abortion that could be interpreted to cover various forms of birth control, including oral contraceptives, intrauterine devices (IUD's), and emergency contraception.

This draft regulation requires entities and individuals that receive family planning funding to certify that they will not discriminate against people who object to abortion or to dispensing birth control on the basis of "religious beliefs or moral convictions." Under the guise of passing anti-discrimination laws to protect health care providers participating in federal programs, the proposed regulation would effectively undermine a health care provider's ability to offer the very services for which they are funded, as well as a patient's ability to access those services. All health care providers must be able to appropriately screen and hire individuals capable and willing to perform the core services that they provide.

The regulation puts laws and policies that protect women's access to birth control in serious jeopardy, including state laws that require hospitals to provide sexual-assault survivors with access to emergency contraception. The draft rule limiting Title X funding will create a direct conflict between Title X (America's Family Planning Program) and the Maternal Child Health and Medicaid programs, which requires that grantees provide a broad range of contraceptive services and supplies to their patients.

Currently, there are "crisis pregnancy centers" in communities across the country that look like health care centers, but deliver woefully incomplete care and only provide the reproductive health care options that fit their agenda: NO birth control, NO abortion -- and NO choice for women and families who need it! If Bush's proposed regulation takes effect, these "crisis pregnancy centers" are likely to receive a massive influx of our tax dollars.

At a time when 17 million women are in need of publicly-supported reproductive health care services, this regulation disparately impacts the low-income, uninsured and under-insured women who rely on these programs for their health information and services!

TAKE ACTION NOW -- Tell Secretary Leavitt that his staff should be fired if they really circulated this draft regulation without his knowledge. He should drop this whole idea.

The Difference Between a Liberal and a Conservative - Stop me if I'm getting too off topic

Ok, this isn't exactly a joke. Or the beginning of one. Nor am I trying to offend anyone considering themselves to be a "Conservative."

Let me remind all you (I don't believe I have an audience yet, but someday, someone will discover this blog, and may or may not be offended by it...if so...deal with it) I am no expert in anything, save common sense and the definition of liberty--freedom.

As I am uneducated here is my definition of a "Conservative" (with the help of http://www.dictionary.com/)

1. disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.

Ok so in layman's English that means someone who DOES NOT LIKE CHANGE.

The definition of a "Liberal" is: (sorry I like all these definitions too much to leave any of them out)

1. favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.

2.

(often initial capital letter) noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform.

Honestly? Oh, the Conservatives want to restrict personal freedoms as much as possible. Since when was that cool?

Never

That's when. In a "natural selection" population control way, yes, it helps curb the rapid growth of the human population by having members of the same species kill one another over ideas, beliefs, or control on anything someone can come up with. However, since we are "human beings" we are also supposed to be "civilized" and in a "civilized" society people do not, no should not go around killing one another.

Based on my 20 odd years of life experience, which is not much since the human life span can be up to 120 years max, I have discovered that we are mighty good fakers. Yes, that's it! We faked it. We ALL fake it. We fake being civilized. We pretend to be above our nature, our nature as human beings, nay as animals. As animals who eat both plants and fellow animals. We are omnivores, a small population of animals that eat both plants and animals, so, in other words, we eat everything that is edible for us humans and use everything, and all these things that we eat provide their own nutritional value and further help us develop into "advanced" creatures. I don't see bears building condos out in Colorado. I don't see dolphins building an ocean resort. I don't see Cows building a cow ranch where they raise humans. I don't see any of that. I see humans building condos in Colorado, humans building ocean resorts...though not "in" the ocean, I see humans building a ranch and raising cows for either their milk, which we drink, or their meat that we selfishly and naturally consume.

We are not at fault here, we are bound to our nature, you are, I am, everyone and everything is bound to its nature and we cannot defeat it, hard as we try. Otherwise we won't be human anymore. We do still want to be human, don't we?

What are Rights?

Based on my uneducated definition..."rights" are a concept, created and enforced by humans that no one is supposed to violate. Meaning "I have the right to be alive," "I have the right to not be abused" etc. Rights are something that are supposed to be set in stone, that are supposed to..well... allow people to be people and do what they like..so long as their rights don't intrude on the rights of others- and that is a fallacy of an argument. As I said before if your rights are something that allows you to be you and you do not impose yourself on others or harm them or kill them... whose rights have been limited? Since maiming and killing is wrong... it stands to reason that no one has the right to do that.. (not even the government) whose rights have been violated? No one's.

Therefore no one is harmed so no one's rights have been violated.

Here's an example:

I am a highly religious person and I want everyone to be saved, because I care so much for their souls, so very much.

However, non-religious people or other religious people DO NOT want to be saved (by me, the religious person) and when I try and tell them if they do not convert their souls will burn forever in hellfire and you do not want to hear that. I have the first amendment protecting my free speech as do you have it protecting yours therefore you have every right to tell me to go away and I have every right to say what I want to say, however if you do not want to hear it you can move away and I cannot pester you (because that's just rude) and/or you can tell me to go away if I have invaded your personal space.

See? Everybody wins. No one's first amendments have been violated, you can disagree with what I have to say and you can choose not to listen and go away or tell me to go away if I'm invading your space (if you were there before me).

Make sense? Make sense!

Age Discrimination

Please read all the definitions.

Age and then Discrimination are defined below.

age
–noun
1.the length of time during which a being or thing has existed; length of life or existence to the time spoken of or referred to: trees of unknown age; His age is 20 years.

2.a period of human life, measured by years from birth, usually marked by a certain stage or degree of mental or physical development and involving legal responsibility and capacity: the age of discretion; the age of consent; The state raised the drinking age from 18 to 21 years.

3.the particular period of life at which a person becomes naturally or conventionally qualified or disqualified for anything: He was over age for military duty.

4.one of the periods or stages of human life: a person of middle age.

5.advanced years; old age: His eyes were dim with age.

6.a particular period of history, as distinguished from others; a historical epoch: the age of Pericles; the Stone Age; the age of electronic communications.

7.the period of history contemporary with the span of an individual's life: He was the most famous architect of the age.

8.a generation or a series of generations: ages yet unborn.

9.a great length of time: I haven't seen you for an age. You CAN employ them however, you just can't pay them for their hard work (read: school..who would've thought?)
Who would rent an apartment to a 14 year old? Again, if you're under 18 they probably won't rent to you...because you're not mature enough to sign a lease.
Who would give a 15 year old birth control or condoms or protection in general from STDs, because a 15 year old shouldn't be having sex anyways, they either won't give them to you, or call your parents so they can give THEIR consent...which of course they probably won't. Anyone under 18 isn't allowed to have sex, so why should they give you condoms or birth control? If they did wouldn't that automatically mean they're promoting sex between minors? That they're encouraging it? Oh no, we can't have that. They're too young to have sex!

Age discrimination is not only only wrong it is illegal. Oh no wait that's what those "DON'T BUY TOBACCO FOR MINORS" ads you see in your local wal-mart. While I do not like cigarettes (as they have a high probability of KILLING you...the warning label says so! It's right on the box!) I, as I have said before, don't think we should "restrict" access to minors to any product just because we don't want them to do something...with their body nonetheless!

Again, cigarettes DO kill. However, punishing a group of people who are under some arbitrary age is discrimination! Scroll up and reread the definition if you're still not convinced that minors are people too. Minors are people too! Again, minors are people too!

I shan't continue because this subject matter is making me angrier as I think about it.

Also, yelling through the internet is NOT a sign of immaturity...it's a sign of being enraged as I should be.

Youth Rights The REAL Part 2

So. Did I forget to mention the legal drinking age in the USA? It's 21. But as I said before I can do just about anything else prior to that once I turn 18.

So am I mature enough to vote and die and have sex and be executed (oh and sent off to Guantanamo Bay where I can enjoy a lovely cock meat sandwich) and do other such "mature" things but I am still too developmentally delayed to enjoy a beer on the porch with my friends and subsequently become smashed out of my mind leading to drunken and possible unprotected sex? To which later if I don't want to feel like I whore I'll report the sex as being coerced or what not and send that asshole to jail? (Awful scenario, I know, but it happens)

Leading onto new and wonderful things, since I was already on to the topic of sex I shall continue on with this even more controversial subject matter. SEX. OOH. SEX.

X-RATED.

No really. Who hasn't thought about sex? Mormons, I know you have, a lot. Nuns? Oh yeah! Priests? They apparently weren't paying attention during class when the teacher said "rape is a sin" especially the rape of 10 year old boys. Ouch.

Oh let's not forget the very relevant and historical rape of women. Not just young girls but women of all ages and races. They have been raped and raped and raped and beaten down and disrespected for thousands of years. Treated as mere object, as stupid and weak. As farm equipment (yes, I said that, look it up) and as bearers of children. Which were also treated basically the same way, yes, rape included.

Children, women and minorities have all been treated with massive amounts of disrespect and abuse over and over again and all groups have been subjugated for simply being themselves.

The last group of these original 3 is still being subjugated, controlled, abused, disrespected etc. And that group is of course CHILDREN. Children have had next no to rights forever. And they probably will not have them until they forcefully PROVE to those in control (mostly their controlling parents) that they are not immature little brats.

Up until the age of about 10 (maybe older maybe younger, usually about when puberty hits) children are usually immature little brats. Though this is not a blanket mind-set for those under 10 or before they reach puberty because everyone develops at their own pace and based on their surroundings and their parents they could be reading astrophysics by the time they are 10 and actually understand it (read: hello child genius!) unlike most 40 year olds with a Master's in English, History or Philosophy, hell even Medicine (aka Doctors.)

We've established that there are smart kids out there. Smart kids who are way smarter than most adults. We have also established there are kids who are more mature than adults. Mature, but powerless. When I was 16 I went to Japan, obviously I was mature enough to go, but was powerless when I got there, mostly because under the law I was basically an invalid, unable to make decisions for myself and having to have a guardian sign FOR me... instead of WITH me or sign at all. Same situation in the USA.

I don't know about you but I find all of this disrespect to be highly offensive. (Couldn't you already tell? If not, welcome to the slow thinkers club.)

I am 20 years old and for the most part I am considered an adult (minus the devil alcohol, of course) and can have sex with whomever I like so long as I do commit statutory rape on someone below the legal sex age. Yes, I said that.

What is statutory rape?

According to our wonderful systems of laws and regulations, statutory rape is defined as this:

statutory rape
–noun U.S. Law.

sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of consent, which age varies in different states.

[Origin: 1930–35]

Wow. Only with a girl? So I guess I CAN have sex with a boy under the "age of consent"... not really -- though biased towards women, the older women can be put in jail nowadays -- many female teachers have been who have done such an act. Not that I'd want to... I prefer older males... they are usually less stupid.

This had been ignored until like the 80s because women were seen as harmless, though I really doubt any young boy (typically in high school) would say they were abused by their teacher if she wanted to "get it on" with him or so to speak, especially if she was "hawt." In fact one such case they got married! Did anyone commit a crime? I don't think so. Oh and he was 13 and she was like almost 30 when it began... he's like 20 now and they have a kid together. I think the teacher's first name was Debbie or something. Big age difference but lust (and love too) knows no age and if it's mutual... shut up and go home, leave the lovers in peace, goddammit.

Moving on. The "age of consent" is bullshit. While I'm not a pedo, statutory rape should not be a crime. Rape is rape and there no excuse for forced sex, those bastards need to get raped themselves and once their in jail, I can almost guarantee they will. (What the fuck does that say about our prison systems? I'll talk about that later.) When I was 15 and I wanted to have sex with a fellow 15 year old he technically could be charged with statutory rape! (Because he's having sex with a person under the age of consent even though he himself is under the age too) and I most likely would be treated like a victim! Even though it was CONSENSUAL! Key word! Key word!!! Are you reading...!!! KEY WORD! Not RAPE! NOT FORCED SEX!

RAPE

1.

the unlawful compelling of a woman through physical force or duress to have sexual intercourse.

2.

any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person.

3. statutory rape.

4. an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside.

5.

Archaic. the act of seizing and carrying off by force.

  –verb (used with object)

6.

to force to have sexual intercourse.

7.

to plunder (a place); despoil.

8.

to seize, take, or carry off by force.

  –verb (used without object)

9.

to commit rape.

OOh my god, they added statutory rape on the list. That pisses me off. The first definition is compelling a woman through physical force or duress to have sex... which means he probably beat the shit out her until she gave in and he raped her. Last I checked, that wasn't cool. But since when is statutory rape involving force? Never. That's when. They made up this law because they knew teens would be having sex with whomever they pleased (because teens have the most hormones of all and they intend to use them) and they wanted to punish the older person because the teen must refrain from sex until they're 18!!!! OMFG!!! Discrimination!!! Example of!!

B U L L S H I T

Utter and complete bullshit. For all of you labeled as a sex offender because you had consensual sex with someone under the "age of consent" I feel for you and you will get justice some day. I promise. And for those (who are 98% female) who are under the "age of consent" and want to have sex with someone under it over it always remember USE BIRTH CONTROL. And boys USE A CONDOM. DO NOT LET YOUR PARENTS KNOW! Someone could end up in jail!
Your parents are the main reason people end up in jail but not the only reason. Be as discreet as possible and be safe. You are not bad people for having sex and no one should look down on you for doing so, or put you in jail.

Long story short this is my advice:

Have sex, drink, smoke pot but don't drive while doing any of those or after any of those (after sex might be okay) because you're not hurting anyone if you're by yourself, even better. Don't drink alone though, you need someone to splash some water on you if you're really out of it.. or take you to the hospital... don't drink too much.

Off-topic Post

So... apparently Irish Gaelic = SPAM. Do not worry.

Youth Rights - Part One

There comes a time, in everyone's life, when he or she changes from a child to an adult. In the United States however, this time is divided, it is separate, and therefore not equal.

In the United States of America when one turns 18 years old one is considered legally an adult. The adult can now sue, be sued, be tried as an adult (we'll get to the hypocrisies and contradictions later), be executed, join the military and kill, have sex, smoke tobacco, get married (without parental permission), quit school, purchase R-rated movies and up (including porn), vote, sign contracts, get into debt etc.

However a person who is legally classified as an adult regarding all of these good things, is then classified as a minor aka a "child," "a person of lesser importance" or perhaps not a person at all.

Our right to put something we want into our bodies is denied to us once again and we are told it's "Bad for you," "bad for your mental development," "your body is not mature enough to handle it," "you are too much a child for this! Grow up some before you can have it!" and what would that be, that is so BAD for us... mind you BECAUSE we have not yet reacher another arbitrary age?

Alcohol
Ah, we meet again!

Oh no! Alcohol is the devil! It hurts so many young people today! We must help them by not allowing them to have it and when they do (they always do) get it punish them and make them criminals, make their lives filled with sadness and persecution (aka prosecution) so it'll be much harder for them to get a job and go to college!

Just because they want to drink some beer! OH THE HORROR! THE HORROR!

Yes, alcohol IS bad for you. It can maim and kill you and many people have died due to this legal intoxicant.

However, putting someone in jail because they just want to hang out with their friends, act like fools (all drunk people act like fools, age is irrelevant) and then pass out is not helping anyone!

Put them in treatment centers if they have a problem!

Teach them the dangers of alcohol.(Teaching someone something is always helpful, America's public schools have failed me and everyone else.)

Tell them that alcohol is safe when used in moderation!

Tell them they could and other people could die if they use too much! Or drive while drunk!

Make it stick!

Under no circumstances should you shove a MIP on a person who is over 18 and LEGALLY an adult. YOU CANNOT CHARGE AN ADULT AS A MINOR. AN ADULT IS NOT A MINOR NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE WANTS TO SAY. THAT IS DISCRIMINATION AND DECEIT! AND IT IS WRONG AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED!

Liberal Incarnate: A Voice of Freedom -- Drugs Part 2

The [True] History of Drugs
continued...

Then there was Marijuana, also commonly known as Weed, Dope, Pot, Mary-Jane etc. Marijuana is, and let me make this clear to all of you who do not know this, a plant. Marijuana is a naturally growing PLANT. It has been here since man were monkeys and civilization was something yet to be dreamed of. Marijuana is also known as Cannabis, the plant we know and hate so much is called Cannabis Sativa.

The most commonly reported effects of smoking Cannabis include:

Sleepiness

Hunger (aka "the munchies")

Feeling of being connected with the universe (or some higher power)

Mild hallucinations (if any)

Paranoia

The most common negative side effects of smoking Cannabis include:

Sleepiness

Hunger (aka "the munchies")

Feeling of being connected with the universe (or some higher power)

Mild hallucinations (if any)

Paranoia

Pain relief -- WAY better than Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Darvoset, Vicodin etc. -- without the possibility of addiction... or death! (or serious stomach ailments... Thank You Ibuprofen!)

Mood stabilizer or normalizer -- for those with Depression

Reaction-time decreaser (if you're REALLY high to where you cannot operate a vehicle and also value your life and the lives of others: DO NOT DRIVE)

You might not even be able to get high :(

That seems to be about it in regards to its effects. Now, people who have mental problems or a tendency to have them should not take any drug that would agitate the problem, legal or illegal...well people who have been recommended it by a doctor...it's his word against mine and I don't owe $100,000 in loans to medical school.

The most common way of taking Cannabis is smoking, however some of the other ways are using a vaporizer and cooking into something like a cake or cookies something else that would require butter of some sort. Cannabis is classified as a hallucinogen however based on what I have heard one does not hallucinate, per se, but imagines a world unlike their own and is transported to it --- all in their own heads of course.

Marijuana, Cannabis or whatever else you want to call it has never maimed or killed a single human being or animal in its history of being used. The same cannot be said for federally APPROVED prescription and legal drugs like: ****

Valium

Xanax

Alcohol

Vicodin

Oxycontin

Tobacco

Ritalin

Ephedra

Ibuprofen

And any warning label on a drug that says if you take more than the recommended dosage...aka overdose, you die. (you should all live by this, and read the warning labels!)

Number of deaths in the history of history caused by Marijuana: Zero

Now let me tell you a summary of how Marijuana has been outlawed, banned, forbidden, punishable by fine, imprisonment (up to life,) inability to get student loans, get a job, keep your children etc.

Racism. As I said before Racism is the reason why most drugs have been banned. As for Marijuana, like the Chinese with Opium, was banned because Mexicans were bringing it over, selling it, and getting rich off of it, as were African Americans and so on. The white man, was afraid of losing his white woman to the minorities so he outlawed it and put the minorities, who were typically the ones who used the drugs, into jail and labeled them as criminals, as evil people who are a threat to society and should be punished!* And so they were. This applies to Shrooms, Meth, Cocaine etc. All of these drugs brought profit to the minorities and it was taken away from them by the white man, this did not only happen in the US but in most of the countries now.

As for Marijuana, it in its particular case it was outlawed because Alcohol had recently become legal again in the United States of America and the extra police force hired on to deal with the Alcohol didn't want to be out of a job... they needed something to do. This was also right smack dab in the middle of the Great Depression and they REALLY needed law enforcement to prevent the hungry, angry, out of work and homeless masses (also known as poor people) from going 15th Century on Hoover and his cronies.

The entire reason Alcohol was outlawed in the first place is because religious people and some women thought by outlawing it people would be forced to stop using it (because it is thought that once something is illegal and everyone is a law abiding citizen, they would follow the law and stop using it... we all know how untrue that turned out to be) and so drunk people would stop beating their mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, wives of friends, other family members, random people, drinking buddies, police into a bloody pulp because Alcohol has a very high tendency to make otherwise calm people into drunken bastards. So in 1920-1933 possessing, drinking or selling ye olde booze was illegal. And the Prohibitionists made sure everyone knew it. Those 13 years were probably one of worst times to be a cop or a law abiding citizen. Let me show you why:

http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=1017&full=1

(I prefer you read this rather than me just retype everything I wanted to say)

TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read)

Homicides Increased

Jails began overflowing (the "drunk tank" was now filled with soon to be hardened criminals)

Cases of cirrhosis, poisoned alcohol (for when they couldn't get the GOOD stuff -as Alcohol was illegal and all- and decided to mix it with things like formaldehyde etc.) - See what happens when you give up all control over regulation? People die.

Increase in drunk people (drinking did drop off for a year (1921) but picked right back up again)

So after all the social problems they thought they were going to be fixing by outlawing the devil's drink (Alcohol) they just decided (in a nation-wide VOTE, nonetheless) that the Eighteenth Amendment (the Prohibition Law) which had been in place for 13 drunken years should be repealed by the Twenty-First Amendment.

The Government Admits Defeat on the War on Alcohol!
The Government is expected to give a conditional surrender on the historic "Booze Battlefield"
where many anti-Prohibitionists lost their lives for a sip of beer.

Drugs: 1 Government: 0
They lost the war on a drug
(Alcohol IS a drug)

Don't tell me they didn't party after words. I know they did. You know they did.

So how does this equate to the "War on Drugs" nowadays? Like I said before all those Prohibitionist era cops, specially enlisted for their Booze Busting skills needed to keep their jobs especially during the onset of the great depression 5 years earlier. So in 1932 legislation was enacted to outlaw Marijuana! (Though without the obligatory Amendment to the Constitution, because they didn't seem to willing to give people as much of a chance to overturn it)

As for the admittedly dangerous drugs out there, like Meth, Crack, Cocaine etc their dangers cannot be ignored as they are known to cause severe mental problems, physical wounds, sickness and even death. However putting these people away in prison where they still have access to their drug of choice with no support system on either the inside or the outside is NOT HOW TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM!

Treatment centers would at least benefit those with the problems, a steady job, a home to come and sleep peacefully at, a safe neighborhood, someone to talk to and no fear of going back to prison because they failed a drug test... this is so easy! Such a simple solution to the problem -- care about your fellow man and help him when he is down! Do not give him a fish, teach him how to fish and where to go to find the best fish and fish with him, and teach him how to clean it, to cook it, to store it. Do these things and people will actually be helping one another. Punishment has never ever nor will ever be the answer to failed "War on Drugs".

Grow up people and give a shit.

*http://www.naturalnews.com/000480.html
*http://www.cannabisconsumers.org/reports/drugwarfacts.php
*http://www.drugwarfacts.org/racepris.htm

Liberal Incarnate: A Voice of Freedom - Drugs Part I - Rewritten and Revamped: So I don't sound like I'm so angry :)

DRUGS

This is no simple issue to debate or even have a simple conversation about but I'm tired of people telling me things that simply are not true and quite frankly piss me off. Since I've had enough of it I'm going to do something about it... and that is?

Write about it.

The [True] History of Drugs
I never said it was "The [Untold] History of Drugs"

The "War on Drugs" has been a problem in America since the white man had power-- and that was since the white man discovered there were non-whites on the planet-- he has vied to control others he deemed "lesser," white women were no exception to the white man's desire for dominance, even over people in his own racial category, (run-on sentence anyone? Prepare for more... I like to ramble coherently) others have suffered at his hands.

However, the white man is not alone in his power-seeking-agenda, all men and even women (there's more of us than you'd think) of any and all racial categories have sought it and sought to keep it. It's only natural to want to be in control of your life, and to subsequently manage the lives of those other people who happen to reside in your general area and don't seem to fit in with your ideas and perhaps even your religion (if any but we'll get into that later). It just wasn't right and the people in power (more often than not a WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) - at least in the USA, Canada and Europe - the natural "home" of the white man) not only wanted power, but money and money and power taste delicious when combined with a cold beer.

So far as the history of drugs and the making of certain ones (deemed harmful) illegal in the eyes of those with the power and the money it all began with racism.

Racism in the United States of America is older than the country itself. Slaves were bought and sold by the dreaded "white devils" and before that they invaded sacred Native American land and killed millions of Native Americans in order to obtain the precious resource the Natives were blessed with and the white man decided was his, land. The "white devils" took the land, took the food, slaughtered the bison (for fun) and raped the women and children and killed as many men as possible.

Why on earth would someone do such a thing? Because they were the other people; the people that weren't really people, the unbelievers of God, their language* was different (many many languages were not English or French or German, those might have been acceptable but alas, they were none of the above) their skin wasn't white, their culture was filled with mysterious traditions and songs and crazy dancing (they didn't like dance) and many other things that just singled them out as not falling into the category of being humans-- they were just too different, just too simple, their weapons weren't powerful enough and their people weren't united enough to stop a takeover of their lands and an imprisonment of their bodies and minds.

This isn't even the beginning of racism in the world, just America.

I edge closer and closer to the point of my history of drugs.... at least in America...

Racism: The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.* By this definition or similar those who sought to have power over those they deemed different, took power, and like I said before wanted to keep it.

After the slaves were free and immigrants (legal and illegal alike) from all corners of the globe came in to "invade" America the white man was afraid of losing power to the other people because he claimed the land called America and wanted to keep it for himself. The Chinese, who mostly through their labor built the railroads and worked tirelessly for little pay and no respect, used opium so they could get through the day.* At that, the Chinese, since the importation of opium into the USA, the Chinese people themselves were banned from entering the USA. Why? Because the Chinese were getting a lot of work done and bringing in something that wasn't a "white man's drug" ... those would be beer and tobacco.

---

This is an on-going story that I am writing and I will announce when I am finished with the entirety of it. Feel free to make comments now, however you do not have the whole story.

*Listing of Native American languages can be found at:
http://www.native-languages.org/languages.htm#alpha
*Racism:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/racism
*Opium and the Railroads:
http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/sci/A0860145.html

Liberal Incarnate: A Voice of Freedom

Welcome to Liberal Incarnate!
